The Traveling Table:
A Pairing Journey with STLwinegirl

A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND TRAVELING DINNER PARTY!

Complete with wine pairings and your own personal sommelier at the table

Upcoming Dinners:

February 1 - Demun Oyster Bar

Known for her approachable demeanor, STLwinegirl Angela Ortmann is taking her knack and popularity for food and wine pairing to the next level with “The Traveling Table: A Pairing Journey with STLwinegirl, a first-of-its-kind series of intimate wine pairing dinners at local restaurants. To appeal to a broad range of guests, this bi-monthly event will take place at rotating locations and will offer an array of cuisines, pricing and pairing styles.

Unique from dinner clubs, STLwinegirl is offering guests an intimate dining experience with their own personal sommelier at the table. Seating will be limited to 12 to 15 guests for each dinner. Fixed ticket pricing, ranging from $35 to $75 depending on the restaurant, will be inclusive of food, wine, tax and gratuity, allowing guests to enjoy the evening without the worry of separate checks at the end of the dinner.

Rather than taking a presentation-style approach, STLwinegirl will be joining guests at the table, in dinner party fashion. “One of the aspects of traditional wine dinners that I have always had trouble with is the idea that you are served food courses with correlating wine pairings, but no one explains why they chose the two. I want to talk with my guests about what characteristics to look for, and ask for feedback,” Ortmann says.

Along with each course and pairing, STLwinegirl will lead discussions and answer questions about general wine tasting, menus, wine lists, restaurant wine etiquette, pairing suggestions and more. “I strongly believe in ‘take home value’ – I want to provide my guests with tools and information that will elevate their dining experiences, both at home and out on the town.”

All tickets will be available for purchase at: http://stlwinegirl.eventbrite.com/.

Past locations have included Home Wine Kitchen, Milagro Modern Mexican, Cielo, Mai Lee, Aya Sofia and Katie's Pizzeria
